Dreamy surreal photos from Russian photo manipulator Platon Yurich

Platon Yurich is a great photographer from Russia, who creates graphics by combining surreal world with fine art. Platon is a skilled filmmaker, creative director and a great surrealist. His surrealistic stories express the connection of human with the interaction of nature. He is a member of the “Union of Photo Artists of Russia”. In some situations, he creates his artworks without using Photoshop software. Instead, he carefully sets them up in real life. One example is a portrait of a woman who appears to have a torn pencil drawing over her face.

This trick-of-the-eye image was created in-camera, with the clever use of makeup. “The photo allows me to exchange life experiences and reflections. I prefer to keep the condition of an unprofessional photographer. Photos help me to share my life experience and my thoughts. I prefer to save my freedom.” (He has a lot of followers and you can follow him too on Instagram:  @platon_yurich  You also have his official website in the end of this article)

“The surrealist thinks he has outstripped the whole of literary history when he has written (here a word that there is no need to write) where others have written “jasmines, swans and fauns.” But what he has really done has been simply to bring to light another form of rhetoric which hitherto lay hidden in the latrines.” – Jose Ortega y Gasset
