The Polish artist Dawid Planeta illustrates his struggle against depression in a rich way. It is therefore not easy to deal with this. But he succeeds in creating an imaginary world in which a small man travels through an abandoned jungle and is confronted with his weaknesses and fears. In these mysterious, dark and surreal paintings, the male is face to face with gigantic animals with glowing eyes. The artist Dawid Planeta dedicates a series of dark paintings, which plunge us into a world at once fantastic and anchored in reality. His achievements seem out of his own mind, his dreams.
We travel in a mysterious jungle where giant animals have bright eyes and where nature is wrapped in a thick fog. “The fishermen know that the sea is dangerous and the storm terrible, but they have never found these dangers sufficient reason for remaining ashore.” – Vincent Van Gogh

“Here is the tragedy: when you are the victim of depression, not only do you feel utterly helpless and abandoned by the world, you also know that very few people can understand, or even begin to believe, that life can be this painful. There is nothing I can think of that is quite as isolating as this.” – Giles Andreae
