There are a lot of adjectives that could be spent to describe the photo series Ô les mains, by multi-media artist Babak Hosseiny and photographer Jeffrey Vanhoutte: it’s controversial, provocative, disturbing but also visually beautiful, so charming that we can’t stop staring at these amazing digitally manipulated photos. The entire work was inspired by a quote from philosopher Ludwig Wittgenstein: “If you do know that here is one hand, we’ll grant you all the rest”. The photos show hands and fingers coming out from different body parts of the subjects, just like an external entity is trying to take control of the person.
We’ve found the idea really brilliant and we can’t wait for you to see these pictures. “Love is friendship that has caught fire. It is quiet understanding, mutual confidence, sharing and forgiving. It is loyalty through good and bad times. It settles for less than perfection and makes allowances for human weaknesses.” – Ann Landers

“Life is all about evolution. What looks like a mistake to others has been a milestone in my life. Even if people have betrayed me, even if my heart was broken, even if people misunderstood or judged me, I have learned from these incidents. We are human and we make mistakes, but learning from them is what makes the difference.” – Amisha Patel
